The funeral can often just be the beginning of a journey

After Care

Our care does not end on the day of the funeral. At G Roberts Funeral Directors, we are here to support families in the days, weeks and months that follow, offering guidance, reassurance and access to trusted bereavement support services.

Whether you need practical advice, emotional support, or a meaningful way to remember someone special, our team is here to help.

Support after the funeral

Grief affects everyone differently, and there is no right or wrong way to feel after losing someone close to you. Some families find comfort in talking things through, while others may need practical guidance or time to consider how they would like to remember their loved one.

We are always available to offer advice and signpost you towards trusted support services. Please contact us if you are unsure where to turn or would like to speak with someone in confidence.

Practical Guidance

We can help with questions that may arise after the funeral, including ashes, memorials, donations, paperwork and next steps.

Bereavement Support

We can direct you towards professional bereavement support services, including confidential help through SAIF Bereavement Care.

Memorial Keepsakes

We can help families explore meaningful ways to remember a loved one, including personalised memorial jewellery and keepsakes.

SAIF Bereavement Care

As members of SAIF, we are able to help families access SAIF Bereavement Care, a free and confidential support service for people who are grieving.

The service offers a supportive helpline, online chat and access to trained professionals who can provide information, advice and a listening ear when you need it most.

Legacy Expressions Memorial Jewellery

Many families find comfort in having a personal keepsake that helps them feel close to someone they have lost. Through Legacy Expressions, we can help you explore personalised memorial jewellery and keepsakes created with care and meaning.

These pieces can include a loved one’s fingerprint and are designed to provide a lasting and personal way to remember someone special.

Please speak with our team or view the Legacy Expressions collection to find out more.

Ashes, keepsakes and lasting tributes

After the funeral, you may wish to consider what feels right for your loved one’s ashes or how you would like to create a lasting tribute. This might include an ashes casket, urn, keepsake jewellery, memorial item or grave marker.

There is no need to make these decisions immediately. We can talk you through the options at your own pace and help you choose something that feels appropriate for your family.

Charitable donations after the funeral

If donations have been collected in memory of your loved one, we can provide guidance on how these are handled and passed on to the chosen charity.

Many families find comfort in supporting a cause that was important to the person who has died, and we are happy to help make this process as simple as possible.
